Implementation of the EC directive temporary or mobile construction sites in some member states

conference paper
In 1992 the directive 92/57/EEC on the implementation of minimum safety and health requirements at temporary or mobile construction sites was published. The member states should bring into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with this directive by 31 December 1993 at the latest.
For the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment in the Netherlands it was interesting to know how other member states have implemented the directive in national law and which difficulties were encountered during this implementation.
To this end TNO was commissioned to make a study covering the implementation in France, Belgium, United Kingdom, Federal Republic of Germany and Luxembourg. This study completed in June 1996 formed the basis for the paper to be presented at the CDM '96 seminar.
