SCIAMACHY instrument calibration and performance: first results

This document describes the state of calibration and performance of the SCIAMACHY instrument, to be launched on ENVISAT in 2000, after the main onground calibration and performance verification phases. A number of calibration and performance parameters will be discussed and results will be shown. The overall conclusion is that the SCIAMACHY calibration and performance are in very good shape with respect to the instrument requirements.
