MADYMO validation of side facing sofa sled tests

In order to investigate and ultimately improve the crashworthiness of side facing sofas, a series of sled tests were performed. The EUROSID-1 dummy was used to measure various signals needed to assess injury potential. To facilitate a parametric study in injury potential related factors a MADYMO computer model of these tests was made and needed to be validated. The correlation between test and simulation signals warrents sufficient trust in the model for it to be used as a baseline model in a parametric study.
