CEN standards for solar thermal systems - State of the art and expectted impact

Since 1994, the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) Technical Committee TC 312 has been active in producing European Standards for thermal solar energy systems and components. In this paper, an overview of the present State of the Art of the draft standards is presented. These standards will specify both General Requirements and Test Methods for thermal solar energy products. Furthermore, the expected developments in the next years are described. Consequences for the solar energy market in Europe are outlined
