Structural adhesively-bonded joints in engineering. Structural design

conference paper
This paper deals with the methodology of the process of drafting design rules for adhesivelybonded
joints used for structural applications. One of the main aspects of this process is the
structural analysis of an adhesively-bonded joint. Such an analysis should deal with issues
related to the estimation of a failure criterion, the choice of a model to calculate the stress staJe
and the determination of material properties. This paper discusses these issues and places them
within the context of reliability methods
