Experimentally determined deformation capacity of reinforced concrete slabs under blast load

In this paper blast experiments on simply supported reinforced concrete slabs are described. The resistance-deformation curves and the deformation capacity of the slabs have been determined. Parameters in the experiments were the thickness of the slab, the amount of bending reinforcement, the diameter of the bending reinforcement and the type of shear reinforcement. The influence of these parameters on the deformation capacity has been studied.
