An overview of RF and Adaptive Algorithm/Digital Beam Forming Hardware and Technology in COST 260

This paper gives an overview of the activities of Working Group 2 in COST Action 260. The COST 260 Action started in 1997 and will continue till the end of the year 2001. The presented information is largely retrieved from papers presented at two COST 260 Workshops organised in Dec.'97 and Nov. '99, and three other COST 260 Working Group Meetings held in '98-'99. During these meetings more than 30 papers were given for Working Group 2. The main topics addressed by these papers fall in three categories: Arrays, Array beamforming and Adaptive pattern control, T/R modules and MMIC's. This paper is organised along these three categories and summarises the information presented at these five COST 260 meetings and discusses the demonstrated progress.
