Nowadays, nearly 50% of the hydrogen produced worldwide comes from Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) at an environmental burden of 10.tCO2,eq/tH2 accelerating the consequences of global warming. One way to produce clean hydrogen is via methane pyrolysis using melts of metals and salts. Compared to SMR, significant less CO2 is produced due to...

Here, we present a pseudo-CMOS NOR gate array based on dual-gate amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide thin-film transistors (TFTs) on plastic. We fabricated a 14 × 12 array of NOR gates which was programmed using laser-induced forward transfer printing technology to realize a negative-edge-triggered D flip-flop. Two drive transistors in a...

Oxide/metal/oxide (OMO) layer stacks are promising replacements for conventional transparent conductive oxides in thin-film photovoltaics. They can provide colouration of the solar cells by adjusting their thickness to optimised optical resonances. Green OMO multistacks were deposited on glass by subsequent sputtering of aluminium doped zinc...

In this article, we present the results of aging tests of silicon photovoltaic modules with a copper-containing electrode deposited in one-step screen printing method. For front metallization, a mixture of commercial silver paste with copper filler was used, where copper constituted 30% of total paste volume. The filler is based on copper...

Electrons and holes confined in quantum dots define excellent building blocks for quantum emergence, simulation, and computation. Silicon and germanium are compatible with standard semiconductor manufacturing and contain stable isotopes with zero nuclear spin, thereby serving as excellent hosts for spins with long quantum coherence. Here, we...

The research on halide perovskites is in its peak activity at the moment due to the material's potential application in photovoltaics. It is well known that slow processes, from seconds to minutes, are very significant in perovskite films and devices as compared to conventional photovoltaic materials. The kinetics of photoluminescence (PL) is...

The IEC 61215 standard for PV modules requires a damp heat (DH) test (1000 h at 85°C, 85 % relative humidity). To have a better alignment with field observations extended and/or sequential testing protocols have been proposed, which involves for DH test a longer testing time under the same conditions. In this study small sized bifacial PV...

This paper presents a new compensation principle using a 2T1C pixel circuit. The implementation shows significant improvement in uniformity for all grey-levels, due to compensation for both VT and β-factor variations. The resulting current variation after compensation in the characterized display area reaches values down to 0.079%.

Silver nanoparticle inks are among the key functional materials used in printed electronics. Depositing it by laser-induced forward transfer remains a challenging task because the non-linear rheological nature of these inks narrows the range of the laser processing parameters. Understanding, therefore, the influence of the laser parameters on...
