Abstract
Designers of eHealth applications for behavior change face many options. Thisincludes the selection of behavior change techniques, the implementation ofthese techniques (e.g., frequency), and the involvement of other parties such as avirtual coach (e.g.) or healthcare professionals (e.g.). Ideally, designerschoose from these options such that users use and continue to use the resultingapplication. To this end, the application should meet user needs. However, theoften reported low adherence to eHealth applications suggests that cur-rent applications do not always succeed at this. A better understanding of userneeds and how to address them is thus welcome.
