A Tactical Command Post Network Using the IEEE 802.6 MAN Standard
The NATO TSGCEE started the Project Group 6 (AC/302 SG/11 PG/6) initiative in 1989. The nations participating in PG/6 have signed the Memorandum of Understranding, which is titled: 'Cooperative prefeasibility studies for Tactical Communications Systems for the Land Combat Zone - Post 2000'. The aim of PG/6 is the development of standards for a land-based, interoperable Tactical Communications System for the post 2000 era.
