Abstract
The durability design of reinforced concrete structures has been recently included in the main national and international design codes, and it is aimed at corrosion prevention of steel reinforcement during the designed service life. Therefore, since the design stage, it is of fundamental importance to correctly assess the temporal evolution of corrosion initiation and propagation during the service life, as a function of the material characteristics and the environmental exposure conditions.
