Nikookar, H. TNO Informatie- en Communicatietechnologie Publication year 2008 Abstract In this paper, the achievable range-bit rate performance is evaluated for Time-Hopping (TH) UWB networks complying with the FCC outdoor emission limits in the presence of Multiple Access Interference (MAI). Application of TH-UWB range-bit rate performance is presented for UWB sensor networks. Results show that UWB radio technology is suitable to be used in wireless sensor networks and that MAI is an important issue in UWB networks that use TH technique to provide multiple access. © 2008 EuMA.
