Abstract
Although work is good for you, it can actually be bad for your health, too. Poor working conditions are responsible for 5% of the total disease burden1, a percentage that is the same as the figure for the adverse health effects resulting from an unhealthy environment or obesity. After smoking, these three factors are responsible for the major health risks of an external nature.
