Abstract
In The Netherlands, the High-Speed Line South project currently under development as a part of the European railway network for high speed trains. In support of a Quantitative Risk Assessment, CFD calculations provide data on the consequences of fire scenarios for escaping passengers. The paper reports on preliminary, conservative predictions of the spread of heat and smoke for two options for the tunnel geometry
