Leeuwenburgh, O. Carpentier, S.F.A. Wilschut, F. Neele, F.P. Publication year 2018 Abstract Managing the risk of unexpected events occurring during site operations and reducing operational costs are paramount to ensure the success of CO2 storage projects. For this purpose, operators need to design cost-effective monitoring systems to detect signals that can indicate whether or not the storage site behaves as expected and will continue to do so. In other words, the systems should be designed to be able to monitor site conformance while keeping costs as low as possible.
