Abstract
The pace in which new and reliable ICT technologies are introduced is rising and the economy is changing towards an information and knowledge driven economy. This opens possibilities to collaborate and communicate with colleagues from any remote location as well as the ability to access business information. The ability of office workers to work from any remote location also implies that the way work is performed and organized will change and demands for different work facilitations. The interest for this new way of organizing work is rising, and a number of organizations has already adapted this new way of working. This includes flexible work arrangements (i.e. home working) together with innovative office concepts that support communication and collaboration. The expectations on the benefits of this new way of working are high, and it is supposed to increase productivity.
