2D Matched Filtering with Time-Stretching; Application to Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP)

This paper presents a matched filter which incorporates the time stretching of signals returned from moving targets. This 2D matched filter does not suffer from SNR and resolution degradation due to range migration, and can be used with agile waveforms. The use of this matched filter within the orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) algorithm, to resolve targets over a large range and velocity span, is demonstrated with random frequency modulated pulses and a random pulse interval.
