Publication year 2013 Abstract This report deals with the development of working conditions for employees working in Central Public Administration in The Netherlands. Contrary to many countries, the distinction between public and private employees is very small. The main changes in the situation for public employees are a further equalisation of contracts to private employees, and for CPA employees in particular, a major exodus (leaving jobs for the private sector or leaving for retirement) in the coming years is expected. Working conditions in general are quite favourable for public employees, but the exodus may affect these conditions.
