Bras, R. TNO Defensie en Veiligheid Publication year 2009 Abstract Recent years have shown an increase in the use of tools that enhance situational awareness. Use of GPS for navigation has become common usage. Furthermore, in many countries vehicle based computer systems are currently being fielded for first responders providing preparative information access. For example in the Netherlands several fire service organizations have introduced so-called Mobile Data Terminals that give the fire service vehicles’ crew access to information about buildings, factories, storage of chemical substances, water supply points etc. Subject InformaticsCommand and control systemsEmergency managementFirst respondersUser interfaceSituational awarenessInformation systemsGPS To reference this document use: http://resolver.tudelft.nl/uuid:bc623882-6906-4763-8d30-e75d0c200515 DOI https://doi.org/10.1109/ths.2009.5168082 TNO identifier 248176 Source 2009 IEEE International Conference on Technologies for Homeland Security - HST '09, 11-12 May 2009, Waltham, MD, USA, 524-528 Document type conference paper Files To receive the publication files, please send an e-mail request to TNO Library.
